A conference organized by the Association Essence
This meeting will explore the question of suicide from the point of view of wisdom and spirituality.
The suicide is intimately linked with the desire for liberation from suffering.
The destruction of the physical body appears to the suicidal person as a way to reach peace.
During this four days of sharing, we will try to see which are the perspectives offered by the main religious and spiritual traditions, concerning the quest for happiness, and the tools for people who feel to be trapped in a deep impasse and are experiencing the "black night of the soul".
This meeting is organized by Essence, a non profit organization based in France. This organization has two main activities: one concerns the non-dualistic wisdom, the second one the relationship between wisdom, health and spirituality.

Some presentations on psycho-spirituality will alternate with sharings of personal experiences and life accounts.
A special place will be reserved to the inter-traditional dialogue. Together with therapists, some representatives of the main Eastern and Western religious currents will be here, in order to share the point of view of their traditions concerning the question of suicide.
The official language of the conference is French.
Some presenters will speak in English with a consecutive translation into French.
At the present moment, we have not planned to organize a translation into English of all the presentations.

The conference will happen in the splendid "Domaine des Courmettes", a natural reserve of 600 hectares, located on the top of a mountain, at one hour driving from Nice, on the French Riviera.

Lodging (rooms for 2-3 people and dormitory) and meals will be provided by the Domaine des Courmettes. Lodging in single rooms will be possible in the hotels of the villages near the venue.

The closest airport is the International Nice airport, at one hour driving from Les Courmettes.
The closest terminal train station is Antibes.
A transportation by collective taxis will be organized.
